BIO
Born in Diego Martin, Trinidad, Dwayne migrated to the United States when he was just three years old. Dwayne was always a good athlete growing up but it was not until he was 14 years old when entered high school did he find his calling in martial arts. It was then that he got introduced to greco roman wrestling. Having 3 brothers he was always use to physical confrontation, so wrestling came natural to him. He excelled at the sport and earned a District championship and was selected to the All New Jersey All-Star Team by the time he was a senior. From there he went on to have a successful collegiate career. Dwayne decided to return to his homeland (Trinidad), to live after graduating University. Once he returned, Dwayne wanted to stay active in combat sports and since Trinidad did not have wrestling he decided to try Judo. After practicing Judo for less than a year Dwayne captured the Trinidad and Tobago national championship as only a green belt.

Thirsty for more competition he decided to give the fastest growing sport in the world, mixed martial arts (MMA), a shot. Having no training in any striking arts, fighting at a higher weight class, and having no amateur experience, Dwayne knew he would be at a disadvantage going into his first professional fight. As a result Dwayne was submitted in the first round of his first fight, but he knew then that he had found his calling. Since that first fight in June 2008, Dwayne has added boxing, Krav Maga, Muay Thai and jujitsu to his training to complement his already solid wrestling foundation. Consequently, he has gone undefeated since then compiling an impressive 7-1 record. All of his wins have come by stoppage (3 TKO's and 4 Submissions) and only one fight has made it out of the first round. During this time he also became the "Caribbean Welterweight Champion" via the King of the Rock Championships held in Montego Bay Jamaica. Dwayne has fought all over the Caribbean (Jamaica, Barbados and Trinidad) and in England. At only 26 years old, Dwayne hopes to continue to build his name and hopes to fight more in Europe with the main goal being the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) one day.
